Awesome night! Random events/drunken convos just added to a great set/vibe in TIL. lol
+1
Playing 124-126 BPM is a little slow for my liking, but he was playing some pretty sick stuff, and the man had all 4 cdj 2000's going at once at points. I sat and watched in awe for a long time!
first time seeing my all time favourite DJ and I loved it. the man has exceptional taste in what works on a dancefloor. switched it up at all the right moments, had impeccable flow and some of the tracks were absolute barn burners. hasn't lost his touch
also a great change from the usual house fare i've been subject to @ guv, etc. a lot more versatile and unique.

Fuck, he was GOOOOOD last night. Crowd was completely fine too. Cool ppl, tons of Sasha lovers to share Sasha stories and memories with, some noobs (who were loving him), the set itself was unreal, and there was even room to dance everywhere on the dance floor. I had a lot of mouth dropped open in awe moments from the middle to the end of his set. He was on fire. As always, the progression of his set was flawless. Started off with a mellow intro. Total teaser intro, in typical Sasha fashion. His set progressively got more driving, darker, harder, and just plain intense... He took me on yet another musical journey. No other DJ has been able to take me on a journey with their sets the way he does, every time. Genius. He started his set with his super serious Sasha face on, but by the end, he was smiling, dancing, and clapping (the drugs must have kicked in) lol. Loved it. Welcome fucking back Sasha. You've been dearly missed.
The club did a smart thing last night too, that really helped to keep the amount of people downstairs at a comfortable level. Maybe this isn't something new...I don't go to TIL much anymore, so it was new to me. They had a separate Dj upstairs, playing more mainstream music. So anyone that wasn't interested in the music downstairs, they had a separate club upstairs to keep them entertained. Kept the downstairs from ever being too busy.
It was really nice seeing everyone as well. What a night. 10/10
he played this beauty of a track

The fact that you can show up with headphones and a USB key to a gig, and have thousands of your tracks to pick from is pretty significant I'd say. I can't wait until 2000's become the club standard.

Convenience is huge especially when you're not sacrificing the creative aspect of the art...
Carrying a flash drive around vs a laptop is amazing.

anyways, this isn't a debate about which method is better lol...
the fact that Sasha pioneered "laptop dj'ing" and is now apparently using CDJ's is what shocks me... (esp since Traktor is seemingly becoming the new black)
