as i said, corruption here is institutionalized so we dont call it corruption. We call it doing business. But make no mistake that the only difference is that its done via legal channels. And remember that the government pretty much has the power to make anything legal (and illegal). Just something to think about when these cozy little surveys come out.

Ye, and corporate redtape is so much cleaner. corruption is not only to do with governments man. |
not saying it does. But corporate corruption (by a single company) is nowhere near as encompassing as government corruption.

Well, who's giving him that bribe? YOU!
People in ex-CCCP always break rules while driving, and when they get caught, they'll just say, Oh, I'll just pay a dude, instead of following regular procedure.
It's all starts with us, regular people, all this corruption and bribery, it's acceptable for YOU to give bribe to get something. |
not really man. cops dont get paid enough, and even becoming a cop in Russia is a much more stable job than working in another industry. In Belorus i heard they have set up a secondary police force that monitors regular police, and these new guys are kept honest by giving them enormous paychecks.
Remember this joke :
Three prizes were awarded for the successes in Socialist competition of police dept. #18. The third prize is the Complete Works of Vladimir Lenin. The second prize is 100 roubles and a ticket to Sochi... The first prize is a portable stop sign.
(stolen from wikipedia btw)
