exactly. anyone who's ever had damage like this would know. no way any less than 800.

honestly do it like this though get it estimated at the highest and submit the estimation. then go to the cheaper guy to get it fixed and put some money in your pocket.

i got in an accident where it was going to cost me 1700 to get my shit fixed so i submitted an estimate told them i wanted the check instead of the insurance company fixing it and made 900. its a win win niggaaaaa

There's no puncture, so I don't see a ton of work, but, even if they just plan on touching it up, $800 doesn't sound ludicrous. Ask him what the shop says they need to do or, even better, ask for a copy of the quote.

who the fuck would repaint the doors fully with such a small scratch and possible dent? that's just asking for more work than necessary. plus it's white, non metallic. blending it into the rest of the undamaged door is simple.

that is not a full door repaint at all...

if you actually believed someone telling you they had to repaint both doors completely for such small damage, you got fucked

i did body work on mercedes, bmw and volvo with my dad for 4 years. this shit is not even a 1 day job. no one in their right mind would repaint the whole door for this shit. unless you go to midas or a commercial body work shop, then they'll just fuck you in the ass with charges that aren't necessary. the fact that there is molding makes it so simple to blend in to the undamaged area. and yes 800 is quite steep for that work

well it's going through insurance now so they will make their assessment, but i think $800 is ridiculous considering i was going 1 MPH trying to squeeze real slowly into a spot.

this isn't a new car, it's a 2004 and i am unsure of how much damage besides the streak that i actually did. how could there be "dents" plural going this slowly? i drive a volvo, not a tank and there are no signs of the incident anywhere on my car.

i will definitely consider getting a bike if this bullshit turns out to be legit.

You still hit a parked car. Your method of accomplishing that feat is irrelevant.

i dont know where you worked but no legitimate place would paint half the door, unless you want it to be 2 separate colors

no, you are dumb if you don't realize that there is a difference between paint that was on the car since 2004 and new fresh paint. Any legitimate bodyshop will tell you that this will create different color shading on the door.
From the pictures it appears to me that there is a slight dent/paint scratch so full repaint required.

yes, i know i hit a parked car, but it does make a difference if you slam into one versus going slowly.

by this thinking, you would have to repaint the whole car because then you would have doors that are out of place with the rest of the car.

they should be able to mix paint together based on the present color and diffuse it to fit in with the rest.

It's a repair, not a traffic ticket. All that matters is the result.

if you're this smart then why are you asking for consultation? i told you how much it will cost you here where i live.
if you want cheap then spray paint white over the scratches, will cost you $30.
