shit you are dumb. read my latest post. the world isnt about your feelings man, u are a maggot, ur a worm, a worthless peace of dust. u are nothing but water and coal and you couldnt make a single difference. nobody hates you personally - they hate your church. |
This is going to be my last response to you, because I fear you're really not understanding anything I say. I'm not talking about ME as a person. Yes, I am an American. No, I don't really care if anyone in the world hates America, or hates me because I'm an American.
MY POINT, is that I'm curious as to the reasoning for people hating every single person of a certain country, regardless of whether they know them or not, simply for the fact that they are for that country.

Okay, so you're comparing Americans to a genre of movie. There are so many things wrong with what you're saying I don't know where to begin, but first off, comparing a person to a genre of movie is idiotic at best. Granted, meeting half of the US population is an exaggeration, but I was just trying to make a point. If someone said "I hate horror movies" and you asked "why" and their reason was "because I saw a couple and I didn't like them" that does not justify hating ALL horror movies.
I really feel like most of the people who have posted so far have missed the point. I don't care in the slightest bit what anyone thinks about the US Government's policies or actions or lack thereof. That topic is completely irrelevant to this thread.
What makes it even worse is that the majority of people around the world who hate Americans have never even met one. I simply don't understand how anyone here could possibly even try justifying hating someone that they've never met simply for the fact that they come from a certain country. |
I wasn't comparing Americans to a genre of movie. Via analogy, I was pointing out the stupidity of your assertion that properly disliking something requires experiencing at least 50% of that available 'thing'.
I'm out. I honestly think that being American excludes you from understanding others' attitudes towards you, in the same way that a non-native language speaker will probably never know how they sound to natives, and vice versa.
