I was speaking of being respectful of culture in the sense of being a part of cultural norms for holidays unless you have a reason not to (I can think of plenty that people have).
I visited Temples and Shrines while I lived in Japan but that does not mean that I had to pay respect to the Japanese emperor.
Merry Christmas, Giftmas, or Saturnalia, the point is just to enjoy the day with Family and Friends during the coldest part of the year. |
I didn't mean about paying respects to Christ or God or whatever, I meant just by saying the term. You can say the term and just not think anything of it, it doesn't mean that because you say it you have to give your respect to Christ.
I just don't understand why people can't just accept it. I could accept it another way with out the Christ word, but it did not begin like that.
I guess I'm a purest lol
