Well I wouldn't count off just for playing a hip hop song. I am not a big fan of rap (at least not the stuff now) but I think the rigid genre DJing is bad now. Paul Oakenfold used to focus on Trance but played also played several other genres in 2 hours and that is a good thing. I love trance but there is way to much going on in Techno, Progressive House, classical, ect to ignore them completely.

we are not focusing in the fact of mixing hip hop into house, it's cool to mix different genres as you say and a 3 hour set of a specific edm subgenre is fucking boring, but mixing hip hop besides is a style that in my opinion the gangster raps does not fit well with electronica. This is the last of his problems believe me.
