The DDJ-S1 controller is designed for the next generation of DJ entertainers who leverage digital music files at home or on the go. Look nice. But why is the Traktor model cheaper? Given four channels oppose to the Serato two channel model. Can either controller interface with other software? (i.e. Serato, Traktor Pro, or are they exclusive to the listed software)?

Because the Traktor model has CDJ200 styling and the serato one has CDJ400 styling.

More "DJ in a box" stuff. Not impressed, but it seems to be what sells nowadays so everyone's producing them.

I don't understand why they didn't keep the hot cue and loop layout the same on the T1 as it is on the S1. Would have been much nicer.

I hear you! I got a chance to play with the Traktor version today, and honestly, I was impressed. It's freakin' awesome! When I first saw the pics, I didn't see the hot cues, but they are there. They're just laid out differently. I like the fact that with the Traktor version you have more control over the effects than you do with the itch version.

Well to be honest, I think it is due to Traktor. Traktor has more effects parameters than Itch if I am not mistaken. That's one reason why I prefer Traktor over Itch. However, the Itch UI feels just right for me.
