touchOSC was the primary reason why I got an ipad.
I had used the jazzmutant lemur a bit during various workshops and projets, but the equipment was never my own.
TouchOSC is also on iphone so you all should get it.
It's a cheap app and well worth it as you can custom design anything you want.
I haven't djed with it live just yet, maybe I will, but right now I already have my hardware controller and while the ipad is nice for the extra stuff like making loops effects etc it doesn't fit my interest in that sense; it's not to say it isn't good.
Latency? None or so it seems.
FYI, with Traktor at least, you cannot do OSC directly as Traktor doesn't support the osc protocol just yet, so one has to us either a puredata/max type patch, or an app like OSCUlator(which costs around 20 bucks I think? I forget how much I paid for it) to convert the OSC data from the ipad into midi data.
I also use the ipad for channel strips in logic for controlling eqs, effects, aux send etc.
It's an amazing tool, I would put more along the lines of an add-on and not a replacement.
No matter how good it is, it's not something I want to be using non stop.
the korg ims20 is also super duper.
