yeah I emailed each order separately earlier today and sure enough I just replies for each and then another email saying its been done.
I went online to wanttickets.com and logged into my account and printed out the new receipts that say Fulfillment Method: Physical.
All is well now.

they have a little machine that runs your credit card and tells them which tickets you picked up. then they just hand you the tickets. yeah it's a bunch of tables with people working 'em.

Can anyone tell me what the advantages are of picking up tickets vs willcall. Will having ticket in hand get you into event faster? (I don't intend to resell tickets)
Also if I do ticket pickup, how long does it take to do that? Are there long lines of people or is it a 5 min procedure?
Thanks.

the theory is having tickets in hand gets you in quicker but honestly its about the same. i always do willcall and ive never had much of an issue. some people prefer to have hard tickets in hand. so its whatever you prefer really.
if you do ticket pickup it shouldnt take very long at all. the first year they had it was a nightmare but over the years theyve made it much more efficient. i only used the pickup service once and it was the first day they were open alongside one of the biggest pool parties wmc has ever seen and it only took about 30 mins.
so whatever you decide to do you should be fine.

Ok I'm joining the wantickets haters..
Now I'm worrying about 2 sets of tickets I chose to have shipped (because I thought it would be easier -- yeah right)
1) Ordered in Jan and changed to delivery in Feb. I e-mailed them last week since no word on the shipment, and I said I need to get these by Friday as I'll be traveling to Miami, and their reply today was 'tickets will ship this week' -- same Erica that someone else dealt with here
2) Ordered tickets 2 weeks ago and chose delivery. Got an e-mail 3/10 that they're shipped and a tracking number. Called FedEx today and learned wantickets has not scheduled a pickup with them for this shipment.
Now all I can do is write e-mails and hope someone reads them and replies and changes my tickets to store pick-up if they really can't get it together and have the tickets delivered to me at least a week before the event.
Edit: Tickets 2 were shipped yesterday after I wrote to them -- no reply to the e-mail -- and delivered today
Tickets 1 are still 'shipping this week'
Edit: Tickets 1 were change to store pickup in Miami, now only thing left is to get a refund on the shipping fee...

Hmm, my experience with WillCall at Ruby Skye in San Francisco has been exactly the opposite. I usually only print out tickets if there's a slight chance that I have to sell them.

if you get physical tickets, perhaps you will have the 5 seconds it takes to look up a name on a will-call list.
you also incur the risk of losing your tickets somehow on the way to the party.
