jersey DEF has the worst drivers, holy fuck!

i believe nyc has better drivers overall bc they are always on the go...yea cabbies can be ruthless but that doesnt necessarily mean they dont know how to drive, just simply they dont give a shit since its all about competition- picking up the person, whos waving frantically, on the corner before the other cabbie does. and flying to get them to their destination to make a few more bucks again.

throw a jersey plate in the city, that just fucks everything up. driving in jersey, you better have a couple of tylenols ready.

i read somewhere that they are in the works of making the speed limit to 20 MPH and enforce it with street cameras.

There is nothing wrong with NYC drivers, just have to be quick and aggressive. Driving in NYC makes you a better driver, because you are always aware of everthing around you. It's like playing the game paper boy, you have to be quick to watch out for the ball in the street, people on bikes, etc, lol.

Now PA, and CT drivers are the worst, because they are slow, and hit there breaks every second. In PA people need to know a yeild sign doesn't mean stop, the make a lane after the yeild, so you can ease in to the traffic. They stop right on the yield, and everyone behind them almost hits in to them. Also I think I read somewhere PA has some of the most accidents.

Also CT seems to be the only state I have ever seen that has a slow drivers lane. No diamond lane, but a lane on the right for slow drivers, wow.

I hate the cabbies too, but you kind of have to be even more aggressive with them.

Actually most accident I notice in nyc are people with out of state plates.

I would say the hardest obsticle in new york is avoiding pot holes. Sometimes you have to decide which pot hole is best to hit, because if you avoid one, there is another on the other side, lol.

There is a street near my old house in the bronx, that has the same pot holes from when I was born.

yea the potholes take a toll on your car...i remember seeing an article last year saying nyc has one of the highest rates of rim damage due to the lack of funding for maintaining and repairing roads

on my grandma's block they had a pothole for a few years infront of her neighbors house a few houses down for months, hell maybe even a year
they kept calling the city and nothing was done...finally the guy just repaired it himself one night lol

I'm convinced traffic on the 101 is entirely because drivers are distracted by a tire on the side of the road.
"What is that? A Pirelli? Dunlop? let's stop and check"

I've definately been guilty of driving slow through city streets. Only bcs the goddamn parking rules signs are so fucking small and confusing! I need to creep down a street twice just to see if I can stop there.
This applies more to the busier parts of the boroughs. I don't even bother looking for parking in Manhattan, bcs I don't even bother driving in there.

Agreed about the parking signs, sometimes they're so confusing you have be that guy that's slowing down all the traffic behind you because you're unsure if you can park there or not. The worst is when there are a bunch of signs that say no parking, yet the entire street is full of parked cars making you wonder if those signs are even relevant.

It's not that Jersey has bad drivers, it's that there are so many selfish pricks on the road that are inconsiderate.

Rather than letting a car merge in, everyone just shuts them out causing traffic to back up and become a mess. If everyone just yielded and was considerate to other drivers, working together to make the flow of traffic more smooth rather than squeezing in and out with the "me first" attitude, things would flow much better.
