In addition to what others have said Stanley Market might be worth a look in. Although it wasn't spelled out a trip on the Star Ferry is a must! You'll probably take it anyway if you're going to Tsim Sha Tsui.

I thought the Symphony of Lights was worth a look in, then again I've always been able to see it right from the comfort of my hotel room It looked quite busy down on the promenade

Were you planning on going to Happy Velley or Sha Tin for the racing?

Hong Kong is one my favourite places, very jealous!

as unique had mentioned, trips to lantau or lamma island will be fun too. nice to see the different side of hk. some of the small fishing villages there have amazing seafood restaurants.

thanks!

Nice location, should be a clean area. Two friends of mine stayed near the Ladies Market a few years ago, there were so many cockroaches, they had to take turns on sleeping

Fish balls and egg waffles are not weirdish, especially compared to snake blood, insects, monkey brains and what not they serve in parts of Asia. You should be fine unless you have a very sensitive stomach and its very tasty too!

Besides that, if you got a sweet toothe, you might be interested in some Hong Kong style desserts, Hui Lau Shan is one of my favorite places. http://www.discoverhongkong.com/tra...jsp?spot_id=137

Also, if you like hiking, take the Tai Long Wan hiking trail in the New Territories. See

I wanted to do that last September, but it was over 30 degrees and I never hiked before.

How long are you gonna stay there by the way?

Why such a short trip?

You should have come to Korea instead.
