Yeah when I said mainstream, I was referring to the people who have horrendous taste in music actually, not the companies. The people are supporting it by buying the music. The businesses are just fulfilling the demand for it.

i disagree, media tells people what they want. not the other way around.
mtv and overall commercial radio are to blame for this bullshit imo. Then clubs obviously that pick up on this garbage.. Artists are forced to work with these horrible producers that make almost the exact same tune and beat just so they could stay relevant in the current music business. Again it's just with pop mostly..

The fact that we in our 20's and 30's can tell that this is shit doesn't make us old farts that don't like current state of music, it's just obvious even to an untrained ear that this sucks. (and this is us, people that grew up on electronic music).
