I think i know what u mean man, one of my friends is random, he has like loads of hip hop and drum & bass, but he has house, hard house and trance too, and some incredibly shit music being played at a Cambridge club on friday (DONT COME CLUBBING IN CAMBRIDGE), we went back to his house, and although I may have been under the influence of alchohol his mixer was really sensitive on the X-fader, even a little bit across and it was inhuman.

However its gonna take a hell of a turntable to knock the technics off its throne. But u certainly wont be dissapointed if u get the Gemini's. And atleast u'll actually get to mix some vinyls.. which is more than me!

Hey guys thanks for all your help and opinions

I know that getting technics would be the ideal option, and now im starting to think about it as long as its not like 1000 pounds cos thats a bit too high (I will have to save my wages for quite some time, even though im getting them on finance)

p.s. I am not getting that scratch mixer, I said that earlier

its just your standard two chan. mixer w/ eq. nothing special.. with mixers, you get what you pay for. so if your going to spend $100, thats fine, but dont expect anything special. your also probally going to want a better mixer in a few months! but its a good mixer to start out on!

and of we go again with the same thing as probably everyone in here have said atleast once before

if you wan't your mixer to last longer than a couple of months i say go for a vestax 275 or a pioneer djm 300 (or even a 500/600 but thos3e are expensive)

but as a startermixer i would sugest one of those 2 coz then you don't have to buy a betteR one so soon

but that's also a matter of how long you can wait and how much you wanna spend etc..

as for me...I'm going for the vestax right away instead of buying some cheap mixer as a middlestep or something

ohh yeah and one thing....don't go off and buy a mixer just because someone says it's good....try it out first....everyone have a different taste when it come's to mixers...for example when you compare the djm 300 against the vestax 275...some people says that the vestax is better and some says that the pio is better....I say it's just a matter of taste

I have finally decided now, for sure..

2x Gemini PT-2400 Turntables
1x GEMINI PS-626I Mixer

I know the decks are good but what about this mixer, it is 3 channel so that is an added bonus of not needing to upgrade due to limitations

that looks like a pretty good package for that price...just make shure that you try it out first so it feels right when you play on it....there's no bigger nightmare than if you buy the gear and find out that it just feels so wrong to play on it

pdx2000,ttx-1 are no hell of turntables ??? techs will always be remembered as GREAT decks... don't expect it be the #1 choice anymore. it's the same deck for 21 years!!! better ones are gradually getting their place on the throne. when techs get a new model (i mean NEW, not like mk3,mk4) i bet it's gonna be another HELL of a deck...
