In your lifetime you will be allowed to go to cuba (from the mainland), i just won't be as cheap. Americans go to Cuba all of the time. They fly to Toronto or Montreal and leave from there...that or Mexico, but all inclusives genrally are not offered from there because well, mexicans are poor and why would they go to Cuba?
They don't stamp your passport in Cuba. the only way to get caught is upon reentry to Canada. The reentry stamp might cause an astute Homeland security officer to ask which country you were reentering Canada from, but you are white so they won't ask

On the topic of best Cuban sandos, for some reason I never eat them when I go to Miami... so my vote goes to Carmine's in Tampa or Gordo's across from the FSU campus in Tallahassee.

the "all cubans hate and fear castro" thing is myth though. His political rivals and those that were forced into exodus hate him, the cubans left in cuba generally are too focused on their families to give a shit about politics. they know they have less than the rest, but they would rather appreciate the things they have over those that they can't.

fuck i miss gordos. that is one place i make sure to eat at every time i go back to visit FSU. their cuban is pretty much the only thing i ever ate there.
