After seeing that in your quote, I once told it to my wife (can't remember what we were talking about) but she just looked at me like she was trying to work out the square root of 3.

Cheers for teh tutorial, will check it out!

This was definitely good imo. Out of all the rolling bassline tutorials on youtube I honestly think this is the best. I've seen some decent ones but most of them are fairly shitty imo. This one was done quite close to how I wanted to do one a while back.

And I'm not sure if you know or not but your voice sounds identical to the talking gecko from geico. I was waiting for an insurance ad to roll at the end lol.

I like most of what you have hear except for the kick mainly. Its a bit too "woody" but everything else was pretty good. Generic sure but you did a great job. The filtering/phased hi "bass" is something I always add to my basses too so I thought that was cool. I've also been dying to do my own rolling bassline tut I talked about it in the past but I still plan on doing one. I think I'll bump this thread when it is done just so we can keep all the better bass tuts in the same thread.

Keep it up man we need more quality tuts like this! And to the person calling this "messy" stfu and make your own tutorial and show us what clean sounds like. Seriously. Someone goes out of their way and takes their time to do this and that just sounded like an asshole comment to leave.

Thanks dudes.

I'm fairly confident it's a decent tutorial as i've had nothing but positive feedback, and also a couple of offers from devs to do some for them as well.

This is the only forum where the assholes appear, but that's par for the course really.

I hear what you're saying about it being generic, although that was partially deliberate to keep it simple. I will try to expand on this idea however and create something more interesting out of it, as it's a little tedious!

The next one will be on drum layering, and although i've already recorded it, I think i'll do it again as I ramble a bit!

Thanks for the comments, it makes the effort worthwhile
