For your own sanity's sake, I'd just stop. You won't win around here unless you involve yourself with the community and earn respect on here first. Sounds silly, but that's just how it is.

When people, whether immature or not, give you that type of response you should just ignore it; look past it. This thread might go nuts now not because of what a couple of others said, but your reaction to it.

Sometimes you have to turn a blind eye and just let those type of comments slide and realize that most people on here are adults and can see when immature stuff is being written themselves. If you take things so personal, you will suffer on pretty much every community on the internet.
