I agree with Diginut. The K240 is great. It does the job.

I've got them and I think they sound like a muddy bucket TBH. They're moderately clear but have no bass and very little clarity in the mids.

This is the K240s not the beats.

Interesting you say this.

I cannot be vocal enough about how muhc I hate the sound of the 7506's. Yet people used to rave (almost blindly) about them. Interesting you find these new "industry" can bad too.

I honestly swear by Sennheiser, they don't ever put out a shit product.

Even their weaker lines are vastly above average.

The Ultrasone DJ-1's are the best headphones I've ever used to work on tracks with. I just got used to them.

Totally agree. I bought a pair of k240 and didn't used them for more than 10 hours. They are basically new. If someone is interested I'd give em for 50€

You didn't break them in then. They change noticeably after a decent amount of hours use.
I think the K240s are great for that price.

Did you break yours in while listening to them or did you leave them running overnight or while you were out of the house?

Did you compare the sound of the "broken in" headphones to a new pair to determine the degree of change?

The reason I ask is because we work with so much subjectivity in out art. It can be hard to separate "getting used to the sound" from "the sound changing dramatically due to breaking in".

For what it's worth, I have a pair as well but I use a pair of Sennheisers. At some point in the next few years I may try a pair of Beyerdynamic headphones (the DT-880 or DT-990) if I see them for a really good price on eBay.

In the end, if we're used to and comfortable with the headphones we use, and our songs seem to sound good no matter where they're played or what they're played on, then there's not much reason to change to a different pair.

Just through regular listening. Didn't see the point of running them for 10 hours if I was going to use them anyway.

I thought there was a difference but wasn't 100% sure until I tried on a brand new pair a few months later and they just sounded "stiff" if you will. Not a drastic change, but definitely noticeable.
