KRK market like crazy including a huge number of sponsored artists who get money and speakers for free for posing with them. In fact, I think they're the only speaker manufacturer that has their own "featured artist" endorsement page.
It was the same with M-Audio monitors and BT - they paid him a bunch of money to endorse them, and those speakers are utter turd.
It's probably DJ's who have told you they're OK. Don't get me wrong, it's not like you can't use them to listen to music, it's just that there are many, many, far batter monitors available for less money.
Far batter eh? I'm listening...

Ok so I'm thinking about buying two of these. http://www.amazon.com/JBL-LSR2325P-...r/dp/B001PYK1BS What do you think? There is no left or right speaker correct? Just buy two and that cable and then plug in the headphone jack on the laptop? I don't know I'm a n00b.

I have these monitors myself and they are superb - IMO, the best sub 6" monitors you can buy for under $1000. I guarantee you'll love them.
You're right - just buy two of them, then you'll need:
It's called a stereo minijack to 2 x RCA (phono) cable.
At some point you'll want to think about getting a soundcard that has balanced connections (and to take advantage of better drivers, less latency etc - but that's another conversation), but you'll be fine with this for the time being.

Decent speakers for a DJ setup but stay the hell away if they are for production.

Sweet!!! Just bought them today. I'd tried to find that minijack on the site but couldn't find it. Maybe I'll just try Radioshack. As for the soundcard, yessss I'm def looking at getting a good, quality soundcard in the near future. Screw my crappy built in soundcard . Any good recommendations? And thanks again for your help man.
