Not necessarily, I've heard excellent scratches on trance (I remember hearing a very good one in one of Plastic Angel's sets).
well I'm impressed cause most trance djs don't know shit about scratching and that's sad when they try to do stuff and it blows totally

i have M-44Gs & i think they rock. They so don't wear your vinyls down & it's not really that tough to install them. Whoever said they were for skratching is wrong, i think they sound just as good as ortorfons & i've used both. just my 2 cents.

all i said was that M44-7s were for scratching...the M44Gs are their dubbed "Club/Rave" needles

M44G's are great needles. good detailed bass reproduction, very light tracking force, and they hold the groove just fine...
plus they are less expensive than ortofons.
dont want to be bothered adjusting everything? it's not that big of a deal.. slip on two screws and 4 wires... mount the headshell, adjust weight/height/skate and drop on a record ... and i think techs looks really slick with the original technics headshell and the black M44G cart that matches the shell just perfect
