I'd say the programming and song selection of a set is the most important part of DJing. The DJ can be technical as fuck but if he can't build up a set properly he's not worth a shit.

Normally I tend to vote for politicians rather than DJs, although I'd be curious to know what would happen if a DJ took charge of the government.

Why the fuck am I even discussing in a thread that involves the concept of voting, I will never know. The best DJ I've heard play is a friend who plays at the local pub. Wonder why he's not up on the list.
