Not too bad at all. I digged that sidechaining on the vocals in the beginning. Probably gonna use something like that in mine seeing as I dont like that section too much.

I'm still deciding whether or not I like this song. Seems lacking somehow. If it was from an unknown everyone would probably blast it. As it is I decided not to use the saw bass or the leads, just dont think its groovy at all.

Thanks! I've been working on it non-stop since I first posted this thread. This was actually my first remix of someone else's work using all their parts. I liked this approach. It was really neat to see how all of the sounds fit together besides listening to them in a completed song. Like I said, I had fun doing it and already submitted my entry. Its not like I expect to get one of those 10-20 spots but its cool knowing its out there for consideration and hopefully your listening pleasure =)

You know what I love about these things?

That the sounds I make are not actually bad. Cause when they are not in the actual tune, even a track like this, which will have had some of the finest engineers in trance working on it, are very similar to the things I create.

Make me feel better.

Just need to actually finish some shit sometime.

How loud is the kick by the way? Jesus.

It is pretty loud. And I had to accomodate for that and a lot of other things I wasn't used to. I usually use to having available a lot of different filters that I can play w/ e.g.: in Thor. But on this track I had to use all the samples in the NN-XT. And there ain't shit you can do in there as far as modulations are concerned. So, I learned to use my equalizers. They pretty much act, in my opinion, as more complicated to use filters. All I had to do was just get used to drawing the envelopes. I'm really hoping Reason 6 does something about that.

In your mix it is well balanced, I was referring to the remix pack.

if you are complaining about NNXT you have no idea how to use it. shut up with your noobness. NNXT can do EVERYTHING!

I like it.. Sounds great!! Its pretty chill in some places, and in others, it captures the essence of the track. I dig the phrasing, the breaks, the way you used "this beat is for all my freaks" to kick off the drop. Yea, this is steallar in my opinion. Awesome work!

welp, I decided as well to give it a go but admit that I am unsure of it. I just couldnt "feel" the stems. It isnt my usual style as well and I didnt want to go off on my own tangent and change the integrity of the stems given. But..needless to say, here it is, open for mockery
