Yes to both, actually. Thanks for ignoring my questions and thus cowardly walking away from this.
The point I was trying to make is that FIFA has been trying to eliminate racism from the game, more in Europe where it is more pronounced. So the organization wants it out of football, not used in any form of trash-talk.
The questions directed to you were to see where you stood on this, if there was a line for you in all of this.
Anyway, back on topic, religion itself can be a delicate issue for a lot of people, even if they happen to be pro. In any case, it hasn't been confirmed whether Villa said something about religion or not. But you can see in the video that Ozil did respond furiously, not after the pushing from Villa nor from Valdes, but after something else happened that couldn't be seen. What's curious from that part is that Villa and Ozil got sent out but Valdes didn't. He was the one that requested the card for Ozil.
I wouldn't be surprised if this stays as it is. The league will protect its reputation and that usually means closing the mouths of the players involved. It was bad enough that this happened between two big teams. They will not dig deeper. They're better off saying that Ozil got upset because Villa made a comment about Ozil's breath or something along those lines. In the end, only Villa and Ozil know what was said.
