joy is airy and fleeting,
sorrow heavy and wet.
contentment is a deeper thing,
but elusive none the less.
i find that good friends and good pets (kittehs!) truly make me happy.
it really is the simple things,
not;
how much money
how many toys
hawtest Girl
nicest car
etc.
as far as the "external influences" matter goes,
the reason i live out in the woods somewhere
is because it takes away a lot of those,
allowing you to choose your reality
with the people that you want to be around.
that to me is priceless- true freedom.

I've been wanting this for a long time, but unfortunately financial stability is needed for this type of move. The Canadian wilderness is the most peaceful place I've ever encountered.

Also, stop being a pussy.
Happy people don't whine on message boards about how hard it is to be happy.

Bullshit.
Those forces combine to create a soaking, boiling mudstorm on Valentine's Day.

Clearly, none of you have accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. then, and only then will you achieve happiness.
Seriously though, I'm quite happy with life, despite the past six months of shit. Sure you go thru a lot of stuff, but every day you wake up is better than not waking up at all.

I don't get how someone can be happy (on a daily basis) in life - I really don't.
It's marked full of struggle and strife. No matter how hard you work or try, there's always a problem and obstacle to overcome.
This goes for anyone and everyone.
The "bad" things are sensationalized, while the "good" is overlooked unless money or riches is involved.
How the fuck does one gain happiness? I mean a full sense of content, and capability to correspond with one's surroundings without losing sanity?
