Haha... man, Jumbo brings back memories. I remember going there 2 nights a week with my friends family to rent. I remember, before it closed down here, they informed them that their family had officially spent the third highest total at Jumbo (something like 35000.00), which got them a free evening of candy and rentals. I probably spend more money buying HD On Demand movies than I ever did renting at Blockbuster... (so the industry is still getting my cash lol)

I'm probably in the minority, but I rarely download any movie stuff, I don't have the patience. I want my shit best quality, instantly lol

Question: are the HD On Demand movies (using Rogers box) in full 1080p with TrueHD sound (7.1)?

Apparently they will be starting their mass liquidation this Friday if the dealings fall through. Obviously the sale will be the same, 30% everything in the store, but since there are people that will buy up all the good games, movies on the first night, best to go out and rent them, then buy them when they are due.

I dont know if would work but if you rent from a store and it then goes out of business, will they still pursue you for the title/rent charges? I'm thinking yes, but logistically it would be difficult given all the chaos of the sale/closing....

I'm with you on this one. I like going to Blockbuster with the wife and looking through all the movies. We use to always pick one new release and then some older random movie....usually picked only by the picture on the front of the case.

Streaming can't be just ok quality wise. But if I'm spending big bucks for a quality tv, I want the full quality of a bluray. So no, physical media isn't dead yet.

If you think you are getting the 'highest quality' shit from Rogers on demand, you need to buy a BlueRay or hook up an antenna. Rogers and bell compress the shit out of their signals, and they look like terrible.

Just hook up an antenna to see the difference. Then please call Rogers to complain about how shitty the quality is; it's the only way things will improve.
