I see the same haters are still around. Cool Elitism Bro.

Got nothing to do with elitism. I just never liked that era of trance music. It's the same with psy trance. I never liked how psy trance was kidnapped by israelis who churned out their formulaic full on sound.

On topic: Is there an old sound you still love nowadays or has it changed in time? I think not everyone has a certain sound which they loved like forever. Just wondering.

I still love the sound of 90s progressive, melodic and psy trance of the 90s. I still discover new tracks from that era that I've missed.
speaking of old sounds - there was an old thread on here a while back about the synth/box that made the sounds that the old oakenfold cd's/mixes would feature. Apparently only a few were made and it was fantastic for sounds but unreliable and would breakdown at any oppurtunity (kind of like the DeLorean of synthesizers) -does anyone have the name of this again please?

Yeah, still many undiscovered tracks out there, even when you think you already heard most of them.
So there isn't really an instrument you like which makes that sound and even can be found outside trance?
It's more like a combination then in your case I guess.

For me it's synth sounds which also can be found in old synthesizer tracks, 80's synthpop tracks, movie soundtracks and obviously many tracks since the 90's. The breakdown in the first video is just the example which made me think that I love this sound for so long (>20 years), not even related to one specific genre.
