lmao @ some of the comments in here.

To the person who said everyone uses this kick I haven't actually used this kick before in any other track I know of so thats just odd coincidence.

However one thing I did notice about the kick after you said that is how god fucking awful is sounds solo'd. You are right and in fact, if I had previewed it by itself I would have said "thats a horrible fucking kick". I'm pretty perplexed by the difference actually as it sounds incredibly weak outside the mix.

To the asshole who said the mix is shitty, I agree to an extent because after the final touches I added today it sounds incredibly defined. Beatflux was right the his from the mid were fucking up everything. W/out the his everything sounds wayy more articulate. I also dipped an abrasive frequency so it sounds a bit warmer too on top of the brightness.

To kysora this is not a mix that will convert well unless I render some sounds out for you & I will definitely do that for you tommorow (not sure if you have waves/volcano/pro-53 and some other stuff). I am definitely learning some interesting things about mixing most key thing I think I can say is that any bit of laziness you engage in will absolutely show in the end product. Like cutting the low subs from my kick I never use to do that and am realizing how much space that was robbing in the end. With other sounds I'm realizing that the mix will always sound "larger" and more articulate the MORE you can remove frequencies that just aren't serving any purpose. Like the more frequency "dips" you can make in the more sounds, w/out taking away the magic from those sounds, the better and louder the sound seem to combine.

Just lots of little shit I use to ignore that now I do quite obsessively. Every single little thing you do really does count in the end its pretty crazy.

I'm taking note by M4B and some others that its definitely time to focus on my musical side. I'm going to do a bit more touch up then submit a new cleaner, more present yet more articulate mix tommorow. Then I think its time me and Ky get to work on something.

Also ky as far as your other mix it is just not going to work collabing that way. I made about 10 different basslines over that mix and all of them just sound "off". I think we were both a bit lazy and rendering the whole mix out like that then trying to layer something so fundamental like the bassline just will not work. If we try anything again everything needs to be done from a project level cause it just wasn't working.

Will submit a newer cleaner version tommorow. Then after that fuck this mixing bs as I'm really ready to finish something now.
