did you say from 8:30 to 9:30? Sounds like a nightclub gig.

In my experience, there will probably be a few stragglers there but not many dancers. So my recommendation would be "eh fuck it". Play what you want. Take it easy on the volume knob. Noone wants to walk into ear blistering loud ass banging shit.

Pitch down a few percent, have some drinks, consume drugs towards the end of your time slot, make sure that YOU have fun and fuck everyone else.
