qbert is the greatest turtablist of all time, and went straight from winning 3 or 4 Global DJ-ing Competitions to the Hall of Fame. He walks into any club, and all djs will bow down to him, and that includes all EDM , Hiphop or any genre of DJs.

he also does drum n bass a bit. but yes, it doesnt matter, #1 on this list is legit.

ps. For appreciation, A Trak won one DMC DJ contest. QBert won 3 DMC DJ contestS.

well, believe it or not, after the first two people commented i had a pretty good idea. thanks for your concern, though.

and, regardless, my foot is firmly inserted in my mouth.
though i don't think you're right about 'all djs in any club will bow down to him'. if i had to guess i'd say there are a lot of djs out there today riding the hype machine that know just as little history as i know

"A lot" is too vague to really argue. I'm sure there are some, but the number is probably smaller than you think. It's REALLY hard to avoid a QBert reference at some point as you talk/read/learn about DJing, especially here in the US.

That is a surprising list. I too am shocked that Markus Schulz is not up there. I saw Kaskade last weekend and I wasn't impressed. There was a huge crowd to see him though and everyone else seemed to love him.

don't be too hard on the guy. think of this as an opportunity to educate. It's up to us "veterans" to help others that don't know a lot about music history.

Qbert was one of the original members of ISP (invisible skratch piklz) along with Mix Master Mike (currently part of the Beastie Boys) and DJ Shortcut.

They helped revolutionize turntablism

check out the battle between ISP vs the X-Men (Executioners). The top 2 turnbalist groups battling each other (West Coast vs East Coast). Fucking SICK. I personally think ISP won that battle... but you never know who won it.

ps... if you look at the ISP guys, their eyes are bugged the fuck out. They used to be big speed heads back in the day.

Designer Drugs being listed on the top 10 shows it's a scam, just like all the rest of the polls...

Also I'm surprised CL isn't on the list lol

I looked them up on FB after this and it turns out they have over 100k likes which is pretty damn impressive. Dada Life, who rammed the fuck out of Ruby, only has like 20k more. Of course, markus has 450k so who knows wtf happened here. Scam, vote manipulation, spamming followers to vote perhaps...
