Yeah, I agree that your best bet is to try finding someone in your school. But, don't expect to get commercial-ready vocals right off the bat and don't get discouraged by the initial results. It's going to be a learning process, so enjoy the ride and know that you'll end up with a lot of useful experience by not taking the easy way and downloading some pre-processed a capellas.
Another option is to check out Indaba Music for online collaborations. I haven't used it myself, but I know some people who have and had decent success, but I've also heard that there are a lot of flakey users there as well. I think it's probably worth the effort, though, and will increase your options.
