I'd bring up the other fact, that the States is the country that armed this dictator to begin with during the 80's, and that if his people really didn't like him that much they'd go about the business of overthrowing him themselves just like the people in South America are doing to US puppet dictators as I speak.

And how much do you think the US government is paying these "experts"? The Iraqi economy has been crippled by the western economic sanctions...right now Saddam is trying to save face, and keep the country running, not develop weapons of mass destruction. He's been trading with the east to try and help get the economy rolling without the aid of the western governments...is he trying to get nuclear power plants installed? Yes...is that a threat to the United States of all places? No....

Even if he *did* have a nuclear weapon, and *did* want to commit suicide by attacking the United States (which it would be, he isn't *stupid* you know...) he doesn't have a deployment system...and last I knew customs doesn't allow people to just declare plutonium and head on through...

As I've said, even if Saddam *did* get nuclear weapons he would still be almost zero threat to the States...he doesn't have the technology *or* the money to fund ICBM's, or any means of deployment that would threaten the States...if anything, the US allies in Europe are in the actual direct danger because of their proximity, and with the exception of Israel *they're not concerned*, which to me shows that the threat is almost nill...trust me, if there was a *real* threat I don't think places like Germany would be sitting around not worrying, since they'd be within the actual range of attack.
Saddam isn't a nice guy, don't get me wrong. But the US attacking Iraq would be yet another horrid decision by the Bush administration...they stand to gain nothing other than peace of mind for the paranoid young Bush, and in trade will lower the world-wide opinion of the country even further, and add to the growing ranks of potential terrorist recruits.
