Do you have an example of what makes you feel all groovy and dancin like? Until now that's what I'm not feeling at all when hearing dubstep.

An example what does that to me is like this: Jan Driver - Drive By.
Not something I would listen at home, but for sure like in a club:

Maybe something like this? I don't if's dubstep though, but it's kind of groovy: Groovy Dancing Girl

Mark Instinct, Trolley Snatcha, Calico, Flux Pavillion, hell even Dieselboy put out a Dubstep mix.

... Please don't call dubstep dub. That's an entirely different genre.
Also Drum & Bass never progressed into Dubstep.

what about neurofunk? guys like Noisia had that wonkwonk and subbass long before dubstep.

example (around 1min30sec):

if you are talking about that melodic stuff you like, then you know dnb has an atmospheric side too.

Anyone else kinda get the idea that a lot of the more "classic" dubstep dudes are kinda straying away from that sound in favor of a slower more house / garage influenced style?

Martyn's new album is a good reference point if you wanna get an idea of what I'm talking about. Or Scuba's latest EP.

your thoughts?

You gotta be kidding me, people started to shit on epic Trance? I can understand Vocals/Euro dance, and Ravey-esque 2003-2006 DJ MYSTIK-BABYBOI / DJ SHOG era, but seriously, epic Trance? How could they hate 1997-2002? Unless the haters were specifically 90-96 listeners, then I understand...

This is brostep:

Imagine a bunch of mindless UFC fighters.... no scratch that, imagine a bunch of ZyZZ BROS GOIN INSANE TO DAT DUBSTEP. NOW THAT IS BROSTEP

and if you see fine bitches on the floor for brostep, then you should ask one of those fine bitches if they actually enjoy hearing brostep throughout the whole] night

brostep is basically a bunch of douchebags who call each other bros and think dubstep is the best thing ever created.

Sometimes it's just easier to say "I like the sound of this" without worrying what genre it is. That's how I feel about some dubstep, even Skrillex. I guess the thing is I won't tell someone to listen to my awesome electronica mix tape having thrown skrillex on there.

That's my understanding aswell. Got no real problem with it though since they still put out quality stuff.

If "fine bitches" are dancing to dubstep, and you ask them if they actually enjoy hearing brostep through the whole night - it's brostep?

now excuse me I think I have to go see a doctor.

yes, this is a natural part of the cycles/evolution of any genre or subgenre. in trance, epic and progressive or whatever, this moment is when the original people fleed away from the music and got into techno or house or whatever, basically anything but the tarnished original music.

the people who got onto the modern type thing is eventually either going to get into that or start championing the more edgier or stripped down and atmospheric type music of the genre/subgenre. in epic trance's case, when people got onto the prog thing and deemed that the cool thing.
