Predator was buggy/unstable on my system as well, regardless of which DAW I used it with, so I got rid of it and never looked back. As for the Virus, neither my Polar TI1 nor my TI2 keyboard ever got along with Live either, but they both work great with Sonar, PT, and Studio One and even Cubase when I had it years ago.

how is it? im still running ableton 8 as my main because it suits my personal workflow better, but i feel like its getting more and more problematic with bugs amd such as time goes on. I dont think Studio One ever crashed on me once, though i have not used it extensively in some time, and also uses system resources alot more efficiently. I read up on all the new features and it looks like it covers just about everything i thought i was missing in S1 (and more!)

+1 to everything. S1v2 is just an incredible DAW and people are really starting to flock to it. There are a few features that I wish it had, such as a step sequencer similar to Sonar's and something equivalent to instrument definitions for external gear, but S1v2 excels it many other ways. I really like features like Control Link and MIDI mapping, VST3 support (which I honestly didn't appreciate until I started using it), easily customizable keyboard shortcuts, and how quick and efficient its workflow is. I highly recommend downloading the demo.

I would rate my current DAW 10/10 can't make it crash

System is ASUS X58 based Core i7 950 12GB and 3x Sata III SSD
Run cubase 6.04 fully happy with my system, just thinking of swapping the processor for a 6 or 8 core
