it's no worse than those who put up their scans as if some of us have never seen what something that will eventually be a person looks like as their profile pics.

having them in an album is different from having them on view as your profile picture and your settings set that everybody can see them when they get friend requests or whatever.
It's rather like a friend of my mums who has a 9 year old. He's got a smartphone, she buys him 18cert video games like Call of Duty and he's constantly on facebook and she does nothing but moan about how kids aren't safe anymore and they can't be kids these days.
