I agree with everyone else, check out OB and of course Hodad's. And if you get to Ocean Beach early on Friday check out South Beach Bar & Grill's Happy Hour from 3-6pm. They have large BOMB fish/Maji tacos for like 2 bucks...not to mention cheap drinks!

Also check out PB and ride around. Rent some bikes and cruise around from OB to PB and just check out all that stuff on a bike. Its not that far either and super fun.

It's a bit outside of town (in Escondido) but if you're a beer guy - check out Stone Brewery sometime!! It's one of my happy places in this world. Great beers on tap, fantastic bottle list (they distribute for a lot of smaller west coast breweries, so they gots the goodies), good food, really sweet environment. You can sign up and take a tour, learn some cool stuff, and then get some free beer at the end of the tour

Can't wait for my next trip

Dude. Coronado Island. Dine at Candelas around sundown. Restaurant on the beach over looking downtown San Diego. There are also those bikes you ride with four people you can ride around the island.

If you wanna eat downtown, Operacaffe was great and has a restaurant.com coupon. I also liked craft and commerce for a little bit out of main downtown. For late night denny's alternative try studio diner (also on restaurant.com). If you wanna try the new baller movie theater where they serve beers to your luxury seat try out the cinepolis in del mar / carmel valley. If you're in the area during the day and want to grab a fantastic sub try out board and brew (get there before 2pm, they only operate until they're out of food).

ps - current restaurant.com code is TRAVEL
