They do their JOB?!?! Now it's obvious you haven't been to the Guv enough...next time you r there, take it easy on uppers maybe you'll see what's going on around you...
I've been to Armin @ Guv as well...not sure if it was in june though, somewhere around then. I guess you can say it's not packed if you never come out to the dance floor. Could barely move down there. It's a shame really...Guv has a lot of potential, but a pretty bad reputation and an even shittier staff. For most people I know, Guv is the last resort for a clubbing weekend.
Don't take it personally though, it's my POV. |
what the hell are you talking about? Take it easy on the uppers? maybe you shouldn't be so sensitive? I rarely take any "uppers" at Guvernment, and I've been there enough times to know what to expect whenever i go there. Maybe you should tell me how the security treats you badly? Cuz as far as I know, its not their job requirement to greet you with a and get down on their knees whenever they see you. They're there to make sure everything is in order...if you want friendly service then go to Wal-mart.
And as for the dance floor being too packed...hmmm, well, I only leave the dancefloor to go to the patio to cool off. Yeah, it can be a pain in the ass, with it being overcrowded...but I don't cry about it. Every club is like that...its just the price you have to pay when going to see a bigname DJ.
And yea, I didn't take it personally but everything you're saying doesn't seem to fit...and I know many people that would pick Guvernment on a saturday night over every other club in the city. I dunno...maybe its just me and my group of friends...but we don't need to be worshipped when we go to a club, as long as we get in and hear the music we wanna hear, then it's all good. I don't care if the big asian security man gave me a dirty look when I passed by him

It's only fair that events that put the effort to put the TA logo on their flyer, and promote tranceaddict.com get priority over events that aren't associated with TA in anyway. They SHOULD get unequal support, because the support that they give back IS unequal.
I know if I put the TA logo on my flyer, I'd expect to get better treatment on the forum than the other event that didn't. THAT is fair. |
true true...well, my original question was answered about why some events are listed as events, and others aren't makes sense

Bah, people stop whining about Guv. Its a world class club. It will always be overpacked. Sure the security are meanies, but its not like you have to hang out with them. The fact is, it is the only establishment here that makes the money and effort to bring in the headliners taht we want to see. If you aren't going to enjoy the show, then just wait patiently till system or viva brings the dj. :P
If it was so bad, people wouldn't go. But they do. Hehe, last time at armin, I found myself a spot in the back, with the "e'd out asians" and there was plenty of room to dance.
I think its just your own attitude that determines if you're gonna have a good time. I always go in , and the party always rOCKS. So instead of getting grumpy whenever someone steps on your foot, just chillout and ignore it, smile and have a good time.
