Why in the name of Cthulu was she charged at all? The news story clearly said that the steward 'have been unaffected by the incident' and he also 'asked the judge not to give her a custodial sentence as it could jeopardise her career'.
I know, if the genders were reversed, it would've been a completely different deal, but that's kind of my point. Dudes are more easily aroused than their fellow females, so the only way the 'sexually offended' steward wouldn't like this move by the 'very attractive young lady', was if he didn't have a taste for people without the Y chromosome, he didn't want to lose his job or he didn't want to break any social norms.
Anyway, never groped a teacher, and I've never been groped by a student either... I'd probably make fun of her/him until the end of time if a student ever attempted to pinch my arse in public. In private I'd probably just crack a joke to say that's inappropriate and move on.
