No, because I booked 2 double beds in January, and they did the ol' switcheroo to a single King bed because they "ran out" of double Queens. I was informed of this when I arrived. This was especially infuriating given that I was probably one of the first people to book a hotel for this festival.
Their only solution was that the third person was to sleep on the floor. They refused to even offer us a discount. "We can provide you with some extra linen" was their suggestion. It took a 15-20 minutes shouting match with various levels of management until they finally gave us a 2nd room free of charge. Even though we did get a 2nd room free of charge in the end, I was disgusted that they were going to screw us over like that with absolutely no concessions. The only reason why we got that room is because I refused to stand down until they found a solution.
Given the fact that we were searched at the border, I was already stressed out, and by the time I dealt with this situation at the front desk, I was just livid. This is not the kind of treatment repeat, paying customers should be given, especially in the hospitality industry.
When I go on vacation, I want a comfortable, stress-free experience. At the Ren Cen, given the volume of guests they have during this time, and the fact that they usually sell out, they simply treat their customers like cattle on Memorial Day Weekend. |
LOL!!!
ridiculous!
