Depends on which cinema I go to.

There's an independent group here in Brisbane, if I go in the day on a weekday, it's only $7 or something. At night/weekends, it's about $10 I think. And they're awesome.

At the big chain cinemas, it's $16+ for a 2D film, $19+ for 3D, so I never bother with them. Popcorn is fucking $10 or something too - Much cheaper (like half the price) at the independent places.

Ironically, Eastern Europeans got much more money than Scandinavians. Only that it doesn't show anywhere.

I've never studied economics and while I'm well aware of that fact, why is it so? Just because someone makes more money, they should be charged more for the same service? Why isn't an iPhone 200€ in Eastern Europe and 600€ in Scandinavia?

Same reason a six pack of Heineken costs me $15+ here, but only $8 in the USA. Ask me how much a pack of cigs costs here, lol.

Edit: With mobile phones, there's even more to it. High set-up costs with only a minimal amount of people paying for the service, due to a small population (same as Australia).
