Heh, The Black Dog never cease to amaze. More than 20 years in the business and still fresh as ever. Liber Dogma is extremely fluid and a proof that (almost) a pure dancefloor techno album can be listenable if done by right people. I like it even more than Music For Real Airports.

1. Bulb - Tenderness [Kokeshi]
Sometimes you hear a track and you instantly fall in love with it, sometimes it takes a while to grow on you. This was definitely the former, from the second I first heard it I wanted it. Haunting and beautiful.
2. DKay & Intoxicated - A Thinner Edge [Integral]
Pretty much like the first track, heard it on a podcast and fell in love. Simply done but effective.
3. Zyblot - Ms. You [Free]
Sometimes the best things in life are free. We've all heard that but now you can believe it with this minimalistic and gorgeous piece. Heard it on Bulbs' excellent "into the deep" podcast series.
4. Breakage ft Jess Mills - Fighting Fire (Loadstar Remix) [Digital Soundboy]
I like Breakage but never felt the original too much. This is a bigroom big drop OTT breakdown type tune but it's so good and fun. Loadstar really hit the money on many of their remixes and tracks in the last year and this is probably my favourite.
5. Fresh - Mission to Mars [RAM]
20 years ago, I was first hearing Acen - Trip to the moon and loving it as a 10 year old. This sort of reminds me of that vibe and yet brings something fresh sounding (pardon the pun) It's a bastard to fit into a set for someone with my limited skill but a regular on my playlist.
6. Phaeleh - Think about it [Afterglo]
Future garage? Post Dubstep? Two terms that describe Phaeleh's excellent sound. He's able to take the good elements of dubstep and not make them sound so ridiculous that every 14 year old wants them. Bassline is epic and the beat is catchy. The piano is the star though.
7. Interface ft William Cartwright - Truth Beyond [Clearskyz]
The bassline. All I need to say but there's more to it than that.
8. Rawtekk - Snowflakes [Med School]
Hospitals offshot for new and upcoming artists brought us some great music this year. This is one of two tracks they've had a hand in releasing to make my top 10. Haunting.
9. Unquote - Cold Tenderness [Med School]
From his excellent debut album on Med School which covers many genre interpretations, this is one I particularly like. It reminds me very much of the Phaeleh sound which isn't a bad thing at all.
10. ICR - My only bad is the lack of all your good [Fokuz]
From his double album, sadly his last in d&b this is a nigh on 11 minute piece of beautiful music. Really needs to be heard in full.

The Ambient productions aren't necessarily their biggest strength, although there's some great sound design involved. The main attraction to tryptych is that it's such a varied compilation with loads of crossover work and tribal influences, which really makes it worth getting.

I felt like Simulat (not Stimulant ) was fine regarding the album flow? But then again im a really big fan of his style.
I personally prefer the Xhin album of the Lucy one, I really didn't enjoy the Lucy one too much except for 1-2 tracks. The Sawf one is pretty average (like most stuff on Perc Trax - he releases a shit ton of stuff though) if you ask me.

They sound a lot like a horror movie soundtrack. Not that noisy/droney but very atmospheric and with lots of horror samples/sound bits.
Honestly, just give them a listen and decide for yourself.
By the way thanks Ian for the Drum & Bass bits, enjoyed some of tunes out of your list. I really enjoy certain tracks out of that genre but I'm generally too lazy to wade through all the bad/average (lots of that imo) stuff
My favorite EP of the year is probably Petar Dundov - Tenth Plateau on Music Man Records.
Brilliant follow ups to Distant Shores, which I think is one of the best records of the past few years.

Oh yeah, I find that in most genres though. Anyway I have some time to pass so here is my final part, 11-20
11. Calibre - Windows [Signature]
Some people just have a sound that is so instantly recognisable. Calibre is definitely one of those people and for me it's brilliant. It's melodic, blissful but delicate and funky too. Windows is a track from his latest album and it's blindingly good.
12. Synkro & Indigo - Guidance [Exit Records]
Synkro has pretty much been one of the most consistently good producers this year, getting better each time. This is a a haunting and thought provoking piece with Indigo.
13. Break & Die - Slow Down (VIP) [Symmetry]
Original was big, this one is massive. watch out for the drop.
14. Subwave - Senses [Metalheadz]
Technically not out until Jan 2nd but this is one i've been playing all year via podcasts (thanks tony colman ) One of the standout artists from "the future sound of russia" on Med School, Subwave has a miriad of styles and ways to pull you in, this being a bit more trancey than some.
15. Marcus Intalex feat. S.P.Y - Celestial Navigation [Soul:R]
Marcus dropped his album "21" earlier this year and this one was a favourite of mine. It just reeks of summer.
