Hopefully this'll become such a classic DH set with typically almost zero ID's and a gazillion tracks (then again, I hope we get all ID's, too much gems in here)

That piano track @ 25 mins

LOL! I've been busy with my own gigs/work/girlfriend

Couple Maceo Plex tracks in there which are super dope and also some unknown bombs that he played also at Rise in Boston on November 9th. There's only so many times I'll annoy Danny in a night "Wtf is this dude?" lol

I love RA and all but whoever thinks that there are at least 100 better djs (at least according to the poll)than Danny are utterly clueless....It's that simple.

I saw a Guetta commercial yesterday on tv, about his new album.
That was [exactly] my thought.

David Guetta's music gives me gas

There's a ton of tunes on this set that I wish I had in my arsenal. The Marvin Gaye tune is super dope! He also played that in Boston.

No poll can ever be taken seriously as they're just way to subjective

I think this can definitely shows some of what Danny can do with several hours to work with! I love how he has been getting housier as of late with more soulful kind of tracks. He has gotten a bit more into funky stuff as well!

This set really does go well with a long work day. I listened to the full 6 and a half hours yesterday at work here

+1. Ive never been too much of a bandwagoner of the, say techy/slightly minimal-edged stuff, if you know what I mean.
Any resemblance of this housey sound compared to the early Desyn sound, is the way I'd like to hear it.

Just putting these massive sets full of ID's which might never get ID-ed also gives me goosebumps, and [to some extent] starts to make my wonder if this could match up with that legend 2004 Arc NY set (with that epic part of Donna Summer - I Feel Love (Danny Howells Mix) into Bent - Always (Ashley Beedle Remix) w/ Lisa Stansfield - Hold On (Acappella) into Danny Howells - Dusk Till Dawn)

Nothing touches that Final Set at Arc...That is as close to perfect as you can get as far as dj sets.

I don't think Danny is much of a bandwagoner either which is good. Good music is good music regardless of the genre etc. blah blah blah I'm sounding preachy LOL

Also speaking of the final Arc set....I've been playing this killer edit of Alison Limerick - Where Love Lives all year

I couldn't possibly agree with you 2 more.
Altho i don't hate it, i could never (and still can't) really feel all the techyness.
Ya it's cool to drop a track here and there into your mix, but on the whole it just never does the trick for me...it never grabs or moves me.

I've noticed groovier, funkier, more soulful, and more melodic sounds become much more a significant part in DJs mixes more and more in the past several months, especially traditionally prog DJs.

This is more than welcome news to me!

Danny was one of the first people to start playing funky house stuff Lawnchair Generals/Pete Moss/Fred Everything which were typically more American sounds after he got away from the pure ish prog house sounds after 2002 or so then kind of got away from it a bit but now I think him being a bit housier is making him better overall Of course I still love the monster techno kinda stuff he plays but it's like he's added back the funk dimension which he does soooo well!
