u gotta laff at people who have no clue about the genre still trying to teach others about it! I think its pretty obvious which do know their stuff and which dont so far

Some DJ's that use Hardstyle

Giada
Technoboy
Dana
Pavo
Yoji Biomehanika

so if u check any of their sets u'll find some of the best Hardstyle, but im personnally having trouble gettin hold of a lot of it because i can get some of the more well known ones but finding a lot of it is nigh on impossible could any1 help me there?

there's a website called Screamer Hardstyle, he has an ftp but its bloody hard to connect to, consider yourself lucky if you get a chance to download from it.
Hardstyle is absolutely wicked!! I think it would be great to mix in a hard-trance set. Hearing it in a club will blow you away!!!, its wicked to dance to also.
dont forget:
dj isaac
warmduscher (yes hardstyle)
dj angy dee
kai tracid (yes hardstyle)

anyone else agree that hardstyle producers HAVE to get rid of those awful, crunching, hardcore-style sounds in their tracks??

can you explain why you think its shitty?? big breaks without a beat? what the hell do you think trance has?? hehehe no flame intended bro.
its the beat coming back after a break that gets everybody jumpin!
i actually think hardstyle is a big impovement on hardcore. cmon, there's not alot you can do with music at 160bpm. plus most hardstyle i hear is more diverse than alot of hardcore, more variety of sounds, beats etc. nobody can listen to kick+snare and a siren for more than an hour without wanting to scream

hardstyle thread.. excellent...

I'm a fan of hardstyle myself, but trance still rules my world. It seems you like it or you hate it, no road between it. I think hardstyle started to exist when alot of partypeople in holland wanted something harder on the parties.. remember alot of these peeps have a hardcore background, and were forced to go to tranceparties and stuff, which they usually found way to soft... the biggest organiser of hardstyleparties in holland, q-dance, jumped into the whole and grew ENORMOUSLY this year.. it really seems like everyone needed a style like this (allthough it existed longer).
q-dance is a subdivision of id&t(organiser of parties such as mysteryland, trance energy, sensation etc. etc.) and has a number of djs under contract.

to name a bunch: bas & ram, luna, pavo, technoboy, dana, isaac, warmduscher, gary D, sunny D, derb, hennes & cold. some say kai tracid is hardstyle too, and allthough he playes alot of banging tunes, I personally don't want to call that hardstyle (like ik ALOT though ).

the biggest hardstyle-event of the year is qlimax. the upcoming event is expected to gather 15.000 people. the great feeling of hardstyle is best expressed on a HUGE soundsystem. it REALLY makes you go ABSOLUTELY WILD!

one of the most played songs on hardstyle parties:

kai tracid - trance and acid (derb remix) (can't believe no-one mentioned this one befor, try to imagine it on full power )
cosmic gate - the truth (dj isaac remix) ==>> just about THE best example of what hardstyle is I can come up with now

other songs I can come up with right now:
sensation - the anthem (dana remix)
giada - .... (technoboy remix)
donkey rollers - strike again

personally I think hardstyle will be dead within a year from now on, except if the producers start to be more original... since most songs are the same.. same heavy bass and stuff..
like I said, like it for 1 partynight, but definately not every week.

because many hardstyle tracks have the same melodies as old hardcore songs and da hardcore tracks sounded a lot better...
but maybe it's useless to say from me...'cause most of da artists you mentioned are excelent, but u now in da commercial area da shits are played...most of italian hardstyle are poor...

good point...they do need to get my creative and original, but i love it...each track is different to me, but i do notice alot of simularities...with all this said the best hardstyle producers are:

ARD UND JORD

check out:
ARD UND JORD - 16
SMUREFF - PUT IT IN YOUR NOISE (ARD UND JORD REMIX)
DEF REACTOR - GRIM REAPER
GIZZY VS THE HOOCH - THE TRIP (ARD UND JORD REMIX)

also:
Hardstyle Masterz - Age Of Reverse Bass (a.k.a. k-traxx and technoboy)
Hardheadz - Wreck This Place (a.k.a. Pavo & Prophet)

ALL AMAZING HARDSTYLE TRAXX!!!!!!!
