So, four of us so far? Does Anakratis have a Virus?

C'mon, I know there are more TI owners here.

I, unfortunately, do not have a Virus TI. However, there are many ways to go about this, and in many cases, a good audio demo can suffice. IF....IF it is really good, and you'd like to do so, I'd love to place it on AA.

i'll contribute towards this. One of the key things i think that define a good patch from an annoying patch would be - make sure the mod wheel and maybe a couple of LFOs are assigned to give some good automation options. and put the volume of the patch on maximum as well. Sure theres a few other things that we could make as standard throughout the patches to give a sense of cohesion.

Don't worry, I know your dad and I'll tell him to buy you a TI.

Totally agree and I'll add aftertouch and the three assignable macro knobs as well.

BTW, I'm thinking that, as our patches come together, we share them with the others for suggestions, "beta testing", etc. How does that sound?

One thing I've found most Virus patch banks to be severely lacking are patches that I'd define as "extremely usable". Not every patch needs to show off the maximum capabilities of the synth.

I like having a dozen or so patches that only do one simple thing but do it extremely well.

Yeah, I can act as the main contact. I was thinking that maybe we'd give it a few days to see how many people are interested before starting to pull them together.

A couple of questions in the meantime:

1) should we try to have an even number of patches for each contributor, or just let people contribute whatever they can until we reach 128 patches?

2) what timeline should we shoot for? I work best under a deadline, so I'm thinking that without one, this project is likely to fall off of our radar.

Thoughts?
