Great forum here! Glad I found this place.
I am wondering what gear/synths/hardware does Tiesto use for his productions.
Please no hate, this is not a thread to say how bad and mainstream Tiesto is...etc
Its just a simple question. If you have input on the topic thank you! If not, please keep it elsewhere.

Welcome newcomer! Thanks for the tip on how I should conduct myself in a forum I've been a member of since 2009. If you hadn't done so, I may have come in here and complained about what a monumental asshole Tiesto is for not even producing most of the tracks that made him famous. Such information sort of renders your question moot - since he clearly hasn't used any of the equipment requisite to the production of music.

Because your approach is so patronizing, I'm just going to google Tiesto and Equipment and copy and paste the first link that shows up in the search results:

http://www.ultimate-guitar.com/foru...p?t-374200.html

Looks like he uses Logic and Alesis Andromeda.

Of course, I don't really give a shit enough to fact check my assertion. I'm pretty sure I'm right but it really, really doesn't matter because you've asked a stupid question. Thanks for cluttering up our "great forum" with another pointless thread that will go nowhere.

The good old Tiesto rant, at least 5x per year on TA, this was the first time in 2012 right?

And thank you for being an asshole. So, I know Tiesto is a touchy topic and people love to hate on him and I ask that this thread is not used for hate but to answer a question...and you mock me and use it to hate on Tiesto. Real mature, Mr Member Since 2009, way to show a newbie how to act on a forum.
And if you think I was being patronizing, what has this thread turned into? Hating on Tiesto. So, maybe I knew what was going to happen and tried to avoid it.

To clarify for any one not an asshole, I was basically wondering if he uses a centerpiece of any kind, like Michael Cretu (from Enigma) does when he uses the Korg Oasys as the centerpiece for his studio in conjunction with the Roland V-Synth. And this question was in reference to Tiesto's In Search Of Sunrise series.

Thanks to anyone mature and decent enough to answer a question!
(I'm not trying to replicate or copy his sound, I would never want to copy someone else's sound or recreate their music, I am just curious about his gear)

You're welcome. Even though I have failed in adding to your flawed grasp of basic etiquette your gratitude does everything to alleviate the regret about my attempt. Even though you seem to be missing the point, that one should not start out as a new member by telling people who have been around for a while how to act, I can be gracious in acknowledging that you have at least shown some capacity for civil discourse. While such a capacity is roughly on par with a rabid laboratory test monkey, it is still a capacity for civil discourse and I certainly don't want to take away from that. Perhaps as I elaborate on my thinking, you'll arrive at the appropriate conclusion rather than the utterly fallacious assumptions underpinning your reply.

Personally I could care less about Tiesto. I am not "anti-Tiesto." It is well documented, however, that he has actually made relatively few of his own productions. Asking people who have worked hard at what they do to take your query seriously - about someone who can scarcely be bothered with ideals relating to artistic integrity - seems a little misplaced and that is likely the reason you have received such a profound lack of serious replies. Even though you have actually thanked people for taking you seriously, I would like to point out that no one, in this thread, has actually provided you with a "legitimate" answer to your rather insipid question.

Finally I would like to state that I am not showing you how to act. What I am showing you is that your actions have consequences and that once you release a thought on the internet, as time passes, it becomes increasingly difficult to take it back. This seems like it's a new concept for you but let me assure you that it has everything to do with how seriously you'll be taken here. When you present yourself with a sense of entitlement and an attitude of condescension, asking a question which is superficial in both scope and applicability, you should not expect things to go well. When you reply with more of the same after receiving appropriate objurgation aimed at how silly you're being, you have demonstrated to others that you are either incapable of being taken seriously, at all, or are so preoccupied with being taken seriously that your concept of self is inflated beyond that which is parodic. Let's try again. You can read this reply and either respond with something that lets everyone know we can take you seriously or, as I am predicting, you will reply with more of the same, there-by dimming your future here.
