Dude- what are you talking about?!?! ID&T is the production company that throws both Sensation & Mysteryland, as well as Trance Energy, Innnercity, and many more. They are a corporate machine! The Dutch have the market cornered on throwing huge parties. No corners are cut- they go all out. In fact, most large European parties will advertise on TV, radio, magazines, billboards, etc... When I was at Dance Valley, we looked up in the air & saw a plane flying above, with one of those banners trailing behind: "Mysteryland- 17/08/02" !!! Commercial? Yes. Do I care? NO!
If those people you met (who had no idea who Tiesto was) had told u they were going to Mysteryland instead of Sensation, would your opinion be any different?
If I had to choose only 1 party to attend the entire year, after seeing the photos from Sensation White, I would choose that one.

Photos don't mean anything. It looks good cause there are so many people in one place, but quality of people is different. I've talked to many people and they all say parties like Sensation and Trance Energy are not nearly as good as Mysteryland. Mysteryland is one of the oldest parties that ID&T has been throwing. A lot of old-school ravers still go to Mysteryland. True it's commercial as well, but less commercial than Sensation or Trance Energy.

I'm not saying Sensation sucks, but Mysteryland was so amazing in it's diversity that's I'd come back any day !

I agree with both of you.

All of these ID&T parties are commercial but that's what they're supposed to be. Durafei is right in that Mysteryland is one of the oldest parties ID&T have been throwing and that people that used to party back in the 80s and early 90s prefer Mysteryland over a lot of other big venues. Just compare the attendances of Sensation and Mysteryland...Sensation is 3 times bigger. Of course it's going to attract a broader range of dance-goers but in my opinion that's a good thing. It would be amazing to go to a party with 150 000 people just to experience it - but it might be a little too big for my taste!

If it worked out that I could go to Mysteryland again I would definitely go but for me, I want to check out as many big parties as I can before I get too old!
