That is great. There looks to be a little lag, but I wouldn't be using it for latency crucial applications so I think this would be a perfect way to expand my screen real estate which is currently just just a 21 inch imac.

Cheers again Dave.

Well, just to be clear, it's a controller app, not a desktop extension app. I think you probably get that already, but just in case anybody else was wondering.

With regard to the lag, there is some lag with the iPad controller following my fingers, but the actual response realized by PT9 is pretty much lag-free. However, when I use it with Studio One, the lag is much more noticeable. It was so bad that it was unusable at first, but a little tweaking improved it a lot, but there's still just enough lag to be annoying. Like I said, though, that is only the case with S1. PT9 works great.

There is a free version called simply V-Control (i.e., not "Pro"), that includes basic functionality and apparently will allow you to view open windows in V-Window, but you can't edit them. Just go to the App Store and search for V-Control.

Cheers Dave - then that sucks a little. I thought it would open the plugin without having to have that plugin open on the screen. Still useful, but the idea of being able to just have the monitor screen for arranging and then the ipad as a separate plugin window would be ideal for me

You actually can open a plugin from the V-Control interface. When you open V-Window, you have the option of selecting and controlling ANY open window on your desktop. So, for example, I can select the Pro Tools console from V-Window and it will display on my iPad just as it appears on the desktop, then I can touch one of the inserts (e.g., a synth or effect) from the console view on my iPad and it will open on the desktop. At that point, the open plugin will be available to select and control from the V-Window on the iPad. I hope that makes sense - it's much more straightforward than it probably sounds.
