I've left the structure/arrangement as it was, as it will take me a bit of time to re-arrange and I don't think it would be really worth it. I also don't think I can make much more of an improvement on the sounds that I've gone with here, with the tools and experience I have but I'm more than happy to take some specific suggestions or advice on how else I could improve it. I'm thinking I'll just leave this as is now and bare any more criticism in mind for future works.
The update is in the OP and the download is also 320 now.

Just finish going over your latest production changes and even thou, as you said in your last comment that your change/adjustment was marginal, you provide enough connections within your track to bridge between, what I called independent sounding sections, in more natural and pleasing to my ear way, nice work and I hope that you going to do something with this track now lol.

Cheers,

Darek

Thanks again for all the listens and feedback, I'm happy that you guys seem to like it. I don't quite feel my own stuff is of a standard that I'd be happy to try and sell properly just yet, although I do feel I'm getting closer. So I'm not planning on sending this to any labels for a release, just gonna leave it up on soundcloud as a freebie (along with my other tracks). I've already sent it to a few dj friends in Melbourne and am gonna play it out myself next time I get the chance to really test it out a bit and see peoples reactions, I'd like to hear it on a decent system, just hope not to clear the floor lol.

I think it's pretty good tbh. There are some obvious issues with the mix, which are mainly the lack of bottom end but that's due to the monitoring issue as you say.

I can't really fault the rest of the track at all and i'm particularly impressed by some of the fx and ideas you've got in there. It sounds like a track made by somebody that knows what they're doing to a large degree.

Get yourself some monitors and I don't reckon it'll be long before you get signed. It's much better (mix aside) than most of the shite that goes out on the smaller labels as it is already.

Hey thanks for the constructive and positive feedback G. I've been trying to produce for a couple of years although I've been a DJ working on and off for a long time now and have done a little bit of work helping out in a few recording studios in the past, it's nice to read comments like that.
A good pair of monitors and finding a nice space to be able to set-up a studio/workspace are a pretty high priority for me, once I can sort out a few other personal issues I'm dealing with atm. I'm glad you've pointed out the issues with the mix, like I said I'm not too surprised but it's good to know.

i also listened to "Retrieval 1", "One More Twip", and "Chrome Shift" -- holy shit man, you got some heavy compositional skill, especially in polyphony and rhythm. very wide variety of sound. the latter especially sounds like a vibe Russians have been very into for the last 10 years or so. (mixing has to improve, but i'm the wrong person to offer concrete advice about that.)

This kind of thorough, balanced feedback makes it feel worthwhile posting music in this place, I'm a lot happier with the response and comments I'm getting from you guys here than what little I've had on soundcloud, so thanks again to you all.
You've given me some good thoughts here I can work with poz, so I'll certainly be looking at improving the structure of my breakdowns with future works. I guess I can also say that the thing I find hardest dealing with or working towards is drawing out the arrangement melodically, I'm currently working on another house tune, playing with some drawn out arrangement ideas as I can certainly see where you're coming from with these comments.
Thanks for checking out my other works, yea I try to keep a few projects on the go at the same time time and try to be somewhat diverse as it keeps things interesting, keeps me motivated and the ideas flowing. I don't take everything I do with music too seriously but I have some projects where I do. I just think I'll be happy if I can keep improving as consistently as I have say over the last 12 months.

Thanks for your feedback and for checking out my music Cam, the stuff on soundcloud is quite varied, also currently working on a drum n bass track that I might post here when I get it all together.
