Mac is preferable if you don't know how to tweak your system. The Mac either works SuperGut or not at all, and if it not works at all you reinstall everything and all works fine.

The PC is for people like me, who loves tweaking and testing and messing around with drivers and software and hardware and who can spend a week trying to make that program's latency decrease with 5 ms
