No, it's bullshit. There are lots of these stories. It began because Pink Floyd originally wrote some of the music for 2001, which was ultimately replaced by classical pieces. So there are Pink Floyd tracks (off the top of my head, I think it's Echoes) that may synch with certain scenes from 2001 because those scenes were edited around the music.

I think you're right about the bullshit bit, but I'd be mighty surprised if film was edited to fit music. I work in score and I've never heard of any film ever being edited to fir music as it's always the other way round. It's more likely floyd wrote the music to picture.

You're right, but he easily could have edited the film to sync up, and don't forget, although rare, you could get albums on 2" tape which was continuous as a medium.
