You had to know your shit in order for a new genre to survive. You had to experiment, and try new things. These so called hip hop gangster legends despite their public appearance probably have more musical knowledge .

I believe most famous musicians are actually fans of many different genres of music. It's usually just the fans who are so narrow minded they can't listen to anything else.

Love this mix

I believe he did. #1 because he's shown an interest in house and DJing in general in the last few years and he has nothing to benefit from faking it in an area much less popular/profitable than his own. #2 cause he is full of surprises every few years (eg quit blazing for awhile, coached kids football, many more). #3 cause it's mothafuckin Snoop YO.

I'm instantly reminded of the Skrillex posting Aphex Twin tragedy...

^-- haha shit, that made me laugh out loud at work. My office mate was confused, and trying to explain it just made him more confused.

Funny yes...but edited like fuck! It's not even chronological and I think it was posted in December and had like 12k comments on it then. So this is a VERY small sample of stupidity cleverly edited.

glad he did this, found the mix a bit boring, but far exceeding any expectations i might have had. i'd put this on as a warmup thing at house party or something. in that sense, pretty good!
