Great point!!
There is more and more people joining this site all the time than there is leaving. We make trance because we buy it, watch Dj's play it etc etc, so it's the likes of us which keep it going.

I was watching BPM TV afew days ago, they interviewed System F and he said trance was fading too, because "people were getting tired of waiting for the song to get going" and now they're starting to program the songs so theres no waiting, GateCrasher Gods Kitchen, etc.
When i heard this i felt kinda depressed, i just got into trance, about 3-4 years go, and its getting better and better. And i hope trance will explode in the the next few years here. Especially were i live......it has too, its the future.
But im getting more and more of friends to listen to trance, and i've been successful but then theres people who are assholes and dont even give it a chance....idoits, dont know what they're missing out on.

I wouldn't worry - it won't die. It might evolve a bit but will unlikely die. Look at happy hardcore - everyone thought it was dead as a doornail and now look - almost every chartworthy rave song from the mid 90's is showing up in some new incarnation. I do agree that right now progressive trance has taken a downward turn... I remember a couple of years ago everyone saying that progressive was the future. Now hard trance seems to be dominant. It's a big circle of life, it all keeps coming round again at some point.
As far as trance in America... forget about it. I live in the midwest and trust me, it won't happen. It's getting hard to find clubs that play electronic music in general let alone trance, everyone's switching to hip-hop cause that what the young kiddies like. Plus, stuff like System F and Rank 1 would never go far in the mainstream here - Americans are obsessed with vocals, play an instrumental track and most people get bored. The only way trance would go mainstream in the states is if they can get Eminem to rap on top of it... unfortunately that would be like blasphemy for the trance community. I know i'd be cringing

Yeah when i tell people i listen to trance, some of them think its like gino beats/dance/euro dance lol!. And some are like "its annoying, and theres no words", even though they've never heard any good trance.
Like im not trying to make people love it or anything, just to be open minded and give it a chance, some do, some dont, i wish more would.
